Reflections `

And so i was reflecting on our squad's performance, and of course, mine as well, and i decided to just update this blog too .

Just a few days later and it will be POP already. From what yujian said last week, i really wonder if i myself, together with weikian, will be able to handle the POP, or just future activities well? Or maybe i should just give up my status as overall? Maybe one of you can do a better job then me. Or maybe it's due to my own attitude? Nevertheless, I am trying to change, to improve myself. Thinking back, our aim as instructors was to raise the unit's standards, isn't it? Maybe it's time that we really start to enforce on PICARD and ABC on the sec 1s, and train the sec 2s harder for they are, after all, going to take over us on March next year.

I don't know, maybe one of you have a better idea to suggest. I'm in doubt about my own capabilities. Anyway, if any of you have a even better idea on improving the unit's standard, why not just hold a meeting with everyone of us and share it?

Well, that's all for now i guess. Let's just work hard for the upcoming POP and survivathon first, before we worry about the challenges ahead.

Well practically we have been teaching and planning the lesson by ourselves,
and hope that we will be able to let our juniors to have a memorable time in NPCC,
with the presence of us as their instructor.

Time flies,
and now its already April.
Most than a quarter of the year has past.
And I do believe that soon,
we will be guiding our future instructors (the Sec 2s).

WHO IS GOING TO BE OUR SQUAD'S OVERALL?

So excited thinking about it. LOL.

I will just add on to what amanda had said.

We are already NCOs-to-be, and will be taking over our unit for this year,
and first of all, which i think is the most important,
will be to set a good example to the new batch of sec 1s and of course, the sec 2s.
I won't talk much about this, because i think all of you will know what to do about it.
Basically, i think what we shoud emphasise on should be the PICARD.
The most important, i think it will be Discipline.

Also, We have already know one of our two posts.
I hope that we can do all our best in our posts in the upcoming activities for the year 2010,
and that we will be able to raise the unit's standard higher.

Oh, and for the secondary ones.
I know that the CIs have said that we must do whatever it takes so that as many sec 1s will remain in NP.
However though, I still think that there's a need for us to at least make sure that the sec 1s have basic discipline.
Try not to scold as much, but still, whenever necessary, we have to.

And lastly, Congratulations to Guan Hoe and Wei Kian for becoming the Camp Coordinator for the Secondary One Orientation Camp 2010! :D

I'm now going to crap on order to save this dead dead dead blog..

Alright,
this year we will be taking over,
so hope that it will go smoothly for us (:

From yesterday activity,
we got to know the Secondary 1 juniors that are in NPCC.
And I do believe that some of them are quite rowdy.
But try not to scold them for the first few activities,
if possible,
just emphasize on their discipline first.

After the Orientation camp then give punishment (if needed).
Cause it is like a brand new life for them.
They needa cope with the new life in Secondary school.
So we need to give them some time..

And I have heard that some Secondary 2 have bullied the Secondary 1 people,
during the ice-breaking game.
Therefore I wish that you guys look out to this during the activity.

Today I want to talk about some matters.

1. Second Class Drill Test:
Second Class Drill Test is sceduled to be at the activity the week after exams. But for now, don't worry about it. Focus more on your exams. You have a week after exams to prepare for it.

2. Total Defence Silver:
Ok. I know Amanda posted this, but I will do more. Muahahaha! Below is the grouping for the project.

Yu Jian-sir have told me that 2nd class drill badge will be conducted before the End-of-Year Examinations.
For those of you who have not prepared your notes for the drill test (if necessary), please do so as soon as possible as the test will will be conducted in a maximum period of time of 2 weeks later.

1. Please remember to sign your consent form and return it on 10th Sept which is next Thursday(Holiday). I'm sure all of you have it so remember to bring.

2. For those of you who did not check your mail, here is the duty of all the people in the squad.

There's a change of plan for the chinese drama competition thingy.
There are going to be more people getting involved.

Basically.
There are going to be 12 people helping with the whole competition, and another 6 people who are going to be marshallers together with the sec 1s and 3s.

The work allocated to all of you are as follows:

Performers and stage helpers.
The following people will mostly be at or near the Multi Purpose Hall all the time during the competition.

Please be noted that the date and venue of the outing are set,
and if you guys happens to forget it,

Venue: Pasir Ris Park
Date : 2 June 2009
Time : TBC

Because that day the whole squad was not there,
therefore we decide to discuss it as a squad.

Also there is something very important about this outing.
Look below for more information.

Activity : Squad outing
Motive : Celebrate a belated birthday with Wee Peng
Expected result: More bonded
Having fun with the whole squad
Rules : No rules but just to have fun!!
But after having our fun, clear up all the mass we've made.
Also, as we are now in public, so I hope that you guys be more PUBLIC.

Guess that is all.
Everyone in our squad will be attending,
plus one more person.
Those who know who the person is,
keep it a secret,
let it be a surprise of the day.

And just to remind you guys.
The attire is our squad tee with whatever pants you guys wants as long as it those for sports, example FBT.
And please be noted to bring an EXTRA SHIRT!!

OUTING!!

Hey people,
Just wanna confirm with you guys where to go for the squad outing.

As for the date,
we will confirm it on another day.

Most likely,
on that day,
we will have lunch/breakfast together before setting out.

The last 2 options are not encouraged unless we have no other choice.
Also,
if there are more than 3 person not going for the outing,
we will cancel it as the reason for this outing is to bond us more.

I want the poll to be 12 out of 12.
So please,
if you see this post now,
inform your classmates about it.
Or even better,
spread it to the other of our squadmates.

And please be considerate for our squadmates,
cause MAYBE some of them MIGHT not know how to ride bicycle,
or maybe afraid of height.

So before you vote,
please think of them first.

Regarding the outing.
AGAIN.
I need all of you to stay back a while after this friday's activity
to discuss on the places to go for the outing.
Right now,
The only places that were suggested are.
1. East Coast park; East Coast.
2. Escape theme park; Downtown east.

Also,
Just repeating what amanda has said.
I hope all of you can turn up for this outing.
Or else,
If only a few people go,
what's the use for a squad outing?
Oh, and yea.
Depending on the number of people going,
we may or may not cancel the outing.

There may be some of you who cannot go so far, don't want to go or whatever,

By the way,
about the squad outing,
I think I shall leave it to holiday or after examination.
As I think that you guys need to study hard for you Mid-Year Examination right?

So I shall not talk too much about the outing.

As this is the first outing,
and our squad's total strength is so small,
so I hope that everyone can take part in it.

Just found out that next week Friday is Good Friday.
So there won't be any activity.

As the Secondary 3 are now "Sir"s and "Ma'am"s,

I'm here to inform you guys about the SANA course =DDD

It will be on next Tuesday (17 March),
0715 at Yishun Bus Interchange.
The course will start at 0830 and end at 1700.
Meet at bus 85 there.
Attire is PT kit (NP unit tee) as the next day will be camp,
and we need 2 PE tee for that.
Remember to bring along your writing materials.
Also,
remember to bring $2 for your plates, forks and spoons.
we will be giving them to you on that day,
so just bring a bag in order to keep them =DDD
Pass them to Natalie as reminded in the previous post.

Erm... For the coming End of Year Course which is on 17, 18 & 22 December, make sure your uniform is up to standard, yea?

For 17 and 18 Dec, fall in at 0715. Don't be late. Whereas, for the 22 Dec, fall in at about 1315. If those who got extra drills or show parade, you'll have to fall in earlier.

For the PT kit, wear PE shirt, cause next year, we wanna seperate ourselves from the Sec 2s :D But, don't worry, cause next year, we'll have plenty of time to wear it >.<

Oh, just in case, bring along your black file and campcraft string.
